Kamaru Usman, the Nigerian UFC champion just won a whopping $1.5million (£1.1m) for his victorious fight to retain his UFC welterweight title at UFC 261.
Last Saturday in front of 15,000 fans in Florida, Kamaru Usman, 33, also known as the Nigerian nightmare, defeated his American opponent, 36, during the first 1 minute and 2 seconds of the second round of their fight.
Kamaru was paid £538,000 just for showing up, a bonus of £459,000 pay-per-view, a sponsorship bonus of £43,000, and a well deserved £35,000 Performance of the Night bonus. It is the biggest payday of his career so far.
Meanwhile, Masvidal was humbled in defeat as he cashed £358,000 for showing up, £186,000 in pay-per-view money, and a £28,000 sponsorship bonus.
